Apple to abandon Samsung's screens in the "iPhone X Plus"

Apple plans to release the OLED displays that it is currently buying from Samsung and will use on iPhone X, as it will be replaced by screens from LG.
Apple is set to start using LG's OLED screens on its upcoming smartphone, which is expected to be named "iPhone X Plus."
LG currently provides Apple with LCD displays for the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus, but the Samsung OLED screen is provided by Samsung, the Financial Times reported.
Apple is expected to launch in 2018 my phone with two screens, the first 5.8 inches, the second 6.5 inches. LG is expected to provide more than 15 million displays for the second model.
According to press reports that LG is still negotiating with Apple in order to supply additional quantities of this type of screens. Sources predicted that the company will provide OLED screens for the 5.8-inch model as well.
The Apple plan is a victory for LG in its long-standing rival with Samsung in the display market.
The two South Korean companies, LG and Samsung, have filed lawsuits against each other several times, involving mutual charges of stealing OLED and LCD display technology.
