Watsapp faced a "global breakdown" for a short time
Watsab, the world's most widely circulated messaging site, announced Thursday that its users around the world had been unable to use it because of a malfunction, adding that it was working to fix the problem.
The worst affected areas were in northern Europe and Brazil, according to Down Detector.com.
The same source said that the service returned to normal after a short pause.
The California-based website, bought by Facebook in 2014 for $ 19 billion, is among the most popular instant messaging services in the world.
